Cationite KU-Na
Cationite KU-Na is a synthetic cation-exchange resin in sodium form. Usually produced in the form of spherical granules from yellow to brown color. Serves to replace calcium ions (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) with sodium ions (Na⁺), thereby softening water.
FormulaNo exact chemical composition, as it is a polymeric resin. General formula conditionally described as sulfonated polystyrene resin in sodium form: R–SO3⁻Na⁺, where R is polymeric matrix.

main application: water softening in boiler houses, thermal power plants, industrial installations, drinking water purification from hardness (Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺), in reverse osmosis and ion-exchange filter systems.
